Engr. Kazi Khairul Bashar is the Vice President (Academic and International) of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) for 2023-2024 session and Member of the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE). He was born on 05 October 1971. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (CE) in 1996 from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He has long experience in various capacity of civil engineering and administrative roles.

In addition, Engr. Kazi Khairul Bashar is presently serving as a Life Fellow (F/7788), Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB); Organizing Secretary, Bangabandhu Prokousoli Parisad, Central Committee; President, Bangladesh Engineers Club Limited (BECL); Member, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); Chairman, Application & Membership Committee, IEB; Chairman, IEB Engineering News Committee; Member, Examination Committee, IEB and Member, Research & Development Committee, IEB.

Engr. Kazi Khairul Bashar served as Office Secretary of Central Committee, Bangabandhu Prokousoli Parisad during 2000-2005 and Executive Member of Central Committee, Bangabandhu Prokousoli Parisad during 1997-1998 and 2006-2011. Engr. Bashar also served as Honorary Secretary, IEB, Dhaka Centre; Honorary Assistant General Secretary (Academic & International), IEB; Vice-Chairman (Administration, Professionals & Social Welfare), IEB, Dhaka Centre; Central & Local Council Member, Dhaka Center, IEB during 2000-2001 session and Secretary, Civil Engineering Division, IEB during 2011-2012 session.
