
Engr. Khan Manjur Morshed
Engr. Khan Monjur Morshed is presently serving as a Vice President (Academic and International) of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) and Member of the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) as well as Bangladesh Professional Engineers Registration Board (BPERB). He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) in 1982 from Rajshahi University (RU). He was a former Superintending Engineer, Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). He was born on 01 February 1656.
He worked with IEB as Vice President (2004-2005; 2009-2010; 2011-2012 and 2013-2014), Central Council Member (2002-2003), Honorary General Secretary (2000-2001; 2006-2008), Honorary Assistant General Secretary (1994-1995, 1996-1997, 1998-1999), Honorary Secretary, Ghorashal Centre (1992-1993); Chairman. Finance and Administration Committee, 2004-2005; Chairman, Membership Committee (2002-2003), Chairman, EWBF (2011-2012), Member Secretary, EWBF (2000-2001 and 2006-2008).
Engr. Morshed also worked with Bangladesh Water and Power Engineers Association (BWPEA) as General Secretary (2005-2006), Prokrichi-BCS Central Coordination Council as Secretary (1994-1995, 1996-1997, 1998-1999 and 2000-2001); Officers’ Club, Dhaka as Member, Constitution Amendment Committee (2005-2007), Barishal Division Society as Vice President (2004-2005).
Some remarkable achievements of Engr. Morshed as Honorary General Secretary (HGS) of IEB:
• Promotion of the 6th Grade Officers’ of BCS Railway Cadre to 5th Grade • Upgradation of four BITs to Universities • Formation of Jashore centre and 6 sub-centres • Paying an important role in fundraising for the IEB building • Laying foundation stone of IEB building • Started the operations of PEng and Engineering Staff CollegeHe is a Life Fellow (F/3030) of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
