IEAM-2026, Cape Town, South Africa Visit

A delegation from the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE), Bangladesh, participated in the International Engineering Alliance Meetings 2026 (IEAM 2026), held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 07 to 12 June 2026. The BAETE delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Engr. Tanvir Manzur, Chairman of BAETE, and included Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Ashraful Alam, Member Secretary of BAETE.

The participation of the BAETE delegation in IEAM 2026 provided an important opportunity to engage with representatives of international accreditation bodies, professional engineering organizations, and signatories to the Washington, Sydney, and Dublin Accords. The meetings facilitated discussions on global developments in engineering education, accreditation practices, quality assurance, mutual recognition of qualifications, and international collaboration in engineering and technical education.

Delegations from 25 Full Signatories and 07 Provisional Signatories of the Washington Accord (WA) participated in the IEAM 2026.
