Engr. Hasin Jahan

Engr. Hasin Jahan is a recognised influential leader in media and national platforms for promoting gender equality and youth empowerment through WASH as an entry point. She has decades of experience in the development sector, primarily in WASH and expanded to climate and other sectors.

Engr. Jahan is a civil engineer from BUET, completed MSc in Water and Environmental Management from WEDC, UK and PGD in Disaster Management from Dhaka University. She recently started PhD programme on impacted women due to climate change. She is a TEDx speaker.

Her published book, titled ‘Girl be yourself’ (in Bangla), is a roadmap to success in career and personal life. Through her ongoing voluntary initiative ‘Hands on with Hasin’, she supported more than 200 professionals through career counselling and motivational discussion at different occasions.

She worked for Local Government Engineering Department, DANIDA, World Bank deputed to ITN-BUET and Practical Action. Currently, she is heading WaterAid Bangladesh.
